About Happy Hope Foundation
The Happy Hope Foundation, established in 2010, was born from a heartfelt mission to spark joy and deliver hope to children enduring hospital stays or homelessness during their most vulnerable moments. Facing health and safety challenges, these children are met with compassion and care, as the foundation strives to transform their toughest days into moments of light and happiness.
As the parent of a profoundly disabled son requiring intensive care, Emi Burke was deeply moved by children enduring long, arduous treatments with nothing to comfort or engage them. A physician highlighted how families often pour all resources into life-saving treatments, leaving no room for simple joys like coloring books, crayons, or uplifting activities. Determined to bring moments of hope and relief to these children and their families, the Happy Hope Foundation was born.
Fifteen years later, the Happy Hope Foundation has inspired hope and resiliency in thousands of children, achieved through the generous support of numerous national corporate sponsors and dedicated community volunteers.
